Meet Our Team

Hello to my new BAVH Family!
I am Dr. Sarah Mainardi-Wilds and I am excited to meet each of Bay Area Veterinary Hospital’s amazing clients over the upcoming weeks and months. In the mean time, I thought it only right to share some information about myself. I received my VMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Immediately following graduation, I moved to North Carolina where I gained a lot of experience working with both small and large animals. Although I enjoyed being a temporary southern, my heart drew me back north in 2015 when I moved to Chestertown, MD. It was here that I met my husband and guaranteed my future as an Eastern Shore resident. For the past few years, I have been splitting my time as a veterinarian between a small animal clinic “across the bridge”, and my own large animal ambulatory practice on the Shore. I am excited to bring my mixed animal expertise back towards my home, as I expand the offerings of Bay Area Veterinary Hospital (stay tuned for announcements along the way!). When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Marc, and two children, Benjamin (4) and Adalyn (18 months), crafting, and visiting “Mimi and PopPop” at the Jersey Shore.
As you know, Bay Area Veterinary Hospital has been providing exceptional veterinary care and service for over 27 years. Dr. Dahle’s combination of expertise, compassion and experience is truly one-of-a-kind. I know I have some big shoes to fill and high expectations to meet from all of you.
Most importantly, I want you all to know I will be devoted to insuring that Bay Area Veterinary Hospital will continue to serve you and your beloved pets with the same concern and quality of care you have come to expect. I know you will join me in wishing Dr. Dahle a happy and well deserved retirement from practice ownership. I look forward to meeting you and your companions on your next visit.
Sincerely, Dr. Sarah Mainardi-Wilds
