Greetings!
My name is Cynthia S. Dahle, VMD and I am the Veterinarian at Bay Area Veterinary Hospital. I felt that in order for me to get to know you and your pet, you should know a little about me and my qualifications first.
I received my Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine (V.M.D.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in 1993 after a 13 year career as a nurse having graduated from Towson State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1979. My certification in Veterinary Acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society was acquired in 1993.
I grew up in Severna Park and now reside with my husband, Mike Dahle, and our dog, Padrig, in Chester on Kent Island. Upon graduation, I first practiced veterinary medicine as an Associate Veterinarian at the Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital, and left in 1996 to open Bay Area Veterinary Hospital.
Mike and I love to bike, boat, and enjoy steamed crabs.
My staff and I look forward to getting to know you and your pet as well!

My name is Dr. Sandy Ziemski and I joined Dr. Dahle in June 2005.
I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduation from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, I moved to California where I practiced small animal medicine. After working in several day practices as well as the Monterey Peninsula-Salinas Veterinary Emergency Clinic, I opened my own practice in 1997. After 5 years of practice ownership I decided to move back to the east coast where nearly all of my immediate and extended family resides.
While in California I became certified in Acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, achieved second level Reiki, completed the Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation course and completed a 200 hour certification course in massage techniques at the Monterey Institute of Touch. I also completed the certification course for Animal Chiropractic at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas in 2007. I have a special interest in the canine athlete as I train and compete with my own dogs in agility, rally and obedience. These special techniques have been very useful for treating sudden injuries as well as keeping the aging athlete comfortable and able to continue to compete.
I currently reside in Queenstown with my Golden Retrievers, Reigel and Jig and two cats, Berber and Jute. Besides dog performance sports, I enjoy kayaking, watercolor painting, finding and refurbishing old furniture pieces and life on the Eastern Shore.
